Many financial experts have been recommending use of prepaid debit cards instead of credit cards for shopping, they claim this helps you to manage your money better and that you secure yourself from getting into debt.
What the experts neglect to mention is what they cost; as you can see from the comparison, prepaid debit cards cost you money no matter what you use them for, paying, withdrawing, checking balance they all cost. The truth is credit cards too have their costs, notably interest payment but there are no costs for usage on credit cards like there are on prepaid debit cards. So my question is, if you're a person capable of self control, is the advice given by these experts worth following? I'd think not.
